Sue's Terms and Conditions:

Code of Practice

At Sue’s Dog Training, the welfare and safety of dogs and their owners is our top priority. Sue is committed to using kind, fair, and effective training methods, focusing primarily on positive reinforcement techniques that build a strong and trusting relationship between dog and owner. On occasion, Sue may advise owners to use appropriate verbal cues, such as a firm “no,” to help dogs understand and avoid unwanted behaviours. All training is carried out with respect for the dog’s wellbeing and the needs of their owners.

Training Disclaimer

Sue is dedicated to providing the highest standard of training support. However, the success of training depends on the commitment, consistency, and effort of the owner. For this reason, Sue cannot guarantee specific training outcomes.

By booking training with Sue, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Sue reserves the right to refuse training services at any time if she believes it is in the best interests of the dog, the owner, or others. This may include cases of health concerns, behavioural risks, or other considerations.
  • Participation in training classes or one-to-one sessions involves inherent risks. Dogs may behave unpredictably, and even under careful supervision, injuries to people, dogs, or property may occur. Owners attend sessions at their own risk and are responsible for the behaviour and safety of their dog at all times.
  • Owners must disclose any known history of aggression (towards people, dogs, or other animals) or other behavioural concerns, regardless of the cause, prior to training. Failure to provide accurate information may result in termination of training without refund.
  • Travel within 5-mile radius of Sue's home is provided free of charge.  Travel beyond this radius will incur an additional fee of 45p per mile.

Cancellation Policy

  • If you are unable to attend a booked lesson, please provide as much notice as possible.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled session will be charged in full and the lesson will be forfeited.
  • If Sue is unable to deliver a session due to illness, extreme weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, the session will be rearranged at no additional cost.

Privacy Policy

  • Sue respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.
  • Information collected (such as contact details, notes on your dog’s progress, and shared media) will only be used to support your training sessions and ongoing communication (e.g., via WhatsApp, email, or video).
  • Your information will be securely stored for a maximum of three years in compliance with GDPR and will never be shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
  • You have the right to request deletion of your personal data at any time by submitting a written request to Sue.
